Jennifer’s storied career spans nearly 30 years in executive nonprofit and association management with experience in early childhood development and education, foster care, learning disabilities and differences, oral health care, fluoridation, and children with critical illnesses. Jennifer devoted her last ten years to Make-A-Wish as the President & CEO of the Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada chapter, leading the 45-county organization to grant over 400 wishes per year. During her tenure, Jennifer was acknowledged as one of Sacramento Business Journal’s “Most Admired CEOs,” Sacramento Business Journal’s Nonprofit Executive of the Year, Recipient of the Sacramento Region Corporate Citizenship Award, and Sacramento Magazine’s 100 Most Notable Business Leaders.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in education from Loyola Marymount University and was recently named LMU Alumna of the Year for her dedicated career in philanthropy. She also attended the Child Development Graduate Program at California State University of Long Beach, studied at Indiana University School of Philanthropy, and completed accredited leadership programs with Achieve Global and the Center for Creative Leadership.

Jennifer has earned her reputation as a visionary, strategic leader and accomplished implementor. Her record of success in public and private foundation implementation, regional market expansion, and organizational culture transformation coupled with her passion and infectious energy make her a client favorite.

Jennifer initially learned of Thompson & Associates in 2009 when she hired us to work with her at the California Dental Association. Then, when she became CEO of the Make-A-Wish chapter in Northeastern California and Northern Nevada, she again hired us to provide their supporters with our estate planning services.

Jennifer is also a motivational speaker as she shares her cancer journey to inspire others to reflect on their life and legacy. Jennifer lives in Roseville with her husband where they raised their six children. Having only one child left at home, they enjoy regular road trips to visit their other five children who live and work outside of California.
